How Loadout works

Three things, done well. No 50,000-tool dump.

01

Hands-on tested rankings

Same prompts. Same tasks. Public scoring rubric for quality, price, ease, speed, and freshness — with a last-tested date.

02

“Best for X” loadouts

Not “top AI tools.” Concrete stacks: best for a Next.js SaaS, a Discord bot, a game trailer, or an agent with MCP.

03

Patch Notes

A short digest of launches that matter, ranking changes, and a clear “should you switch?” verdict. Built for builders, not doomscrollers.

No paying for rank.

Sponsors get clearly marked slots, never a higher score. Submissions can pay for faster review — never for placement. Rubric and last-tested dates stay public.

FAQ

Who is Loadout for?

Vibe coders, indie builders, agent builders, and game creators who want a short, trusted answer — not another directory of 50,000 tools.

How do you rank tools?

Hands-on tests against the same tasks, scored on quality, price, ease, speed, and freshness. Scores show a last-tested date and move when tools change.

Can tools pay to rank higher?

No. Paid options cover faster review or marked sponsor slots only. Rankings are never for sale.

What’s Patch Notes?
